I was raised to believe that God is not just someone you visit on Sunday, but a steady presence who walks with you into every courtroom, hospital room, and kitchen table conversation. Over the years my faith has been stretched, tested, and deepened through caregiving, single motherhood, career pivots, and now the wild adventure of law school after 50. I don’t have a perfect spiritual résumé, but I do have a very real, very daily relationship with God. That relationship shapes how I show up as a paralegal, a future attorney, a daughter, a mother, and a woman who still loves a sharp blazer and a good lipstick. My values—integrity, compassion, excellence, and justice—are rooted in what I believe about God’s character. I want my work in the legal field to be an extension of my faith: advocating for those who feel unheard, handling responsibility with humility, and remembering that every brief, every class, every case is ultimately about people God loves. When you see “Attorney Cofield Loading,” what’s powering that progress bar is prayer, perseverance, and a quiet confidence that I’m walking in the purpose God designed for me—right on time, even after 50.
